Computer Lab Rules
- NO EATING in the labs, NO DRINKING in front of computer
- NO GAMES in computer labs unless you get a privilege - in that case only those games can be played that are allowed
- NO INTERNET BROWSING unless it is required by an exercise or allowed by the teacher
- NO MP3 PLAYERS (listening to music), PHONES ringing, etc. during the class; MP3 player will be taken and given to the class teacher at the end of the class
- NO COMING LATE to classes, unless you have a good excuse (doctor visit or similar);
you will not only be written into the class book, but you will not have a break in between the two classes in order for you
to make up the missed time
- You have to have your SCHOOL SHOES on when in the computer labs, you must not come to the class without changing from the shoes in which you came to school
- Everyone has to take ALL tests (paper and practical) - if he/she misses a test, the student has to take it in a different time, usually outside the lesson time
Computer Technology Assessments
- Paper tests, practical hands-on tests and class projects each is graded with only one grade ranging from 7 to 1
- Half year and end-of-the-year projects have several grades from 7 to 1, depending on the type of the project
- One paper or practical test per half year can be re-taken in order to correct the grade
- Bonus points can be received for activity in class and for homeworks. They can help to decide on a half-year and end-of-the-year final marks.
- if a student is between two marks, he/she can receive the better mark if he/she got at least 50% of all bonus points for that half year; otherwise he/she
get the lower mark
- if a student wants to receive better mark than he/she has, he/she has to have at least 90% from all bonus points for that half year
- Points for activity are given only to hard working, prepared wtudents for good work, paying attention, good questions and correct answers etc.
- a student can get 1 point per class for activity
- if a student misses the class, he/she can do all exercises that have been done during that lesson and e-mail them to the teacher. if they are correct,
he/she can receive the point
- students who have been in the class and did not receive a point cannot get that point anymore
- a student can have points deducted if his behavior violates the computer lab rules or he/she is permanently unprepared and unconcentrated onto the lesson
- Homeworks are due ALWAYS on a specified deadline. Only if the homework is received untill that deadline and it is 100% correct, student can receive 1 point.
- if homework is 100% correct, but it was handed in late, although still inside the theme currently studied, student gets maximum of 0.5 point
- if homework is received after the theme ends, student get 0 points, even if the homework is 100% correct
- students get deduction from the points based on the mistakes they do in their homework
- if a student misses the class, he/she will get a week extra to do the homework. He/she is required though to apologize and ask the teacher for this extra time.
